(100 Day) -Novelty warted Gourds. These are very close to regular Gourds, but they have warts on their outer skin and their flesh is a bit tougher. This is a veriety Gourd where every Gourd on the Vine is different!! The ones shown in the photo, all came off the same vine from ONE SEED!! -VINES-

 Planting instructions: Gouds grow best in warm, loose, fertile soil. Seeds should be planted after danger of frost has passed. If your soil lacks organic matter, mix a shovelful of manure or compost in each hill. Plant seeds in hills 8 feet apart and thin to 3 plants. To plant in rows, plant 2 seeds every 18 inches with rows 6 to 7 feet apart. Thin to one plant every 18 to 24 inches. Seed should be planted an inch deep. A side dressing of a tablespoon of complete fertilizer per hill when plants vine and again at fruit set will improve production. Watch for pests which will decrease yields. Make sure the plants have adequate moisture and weeds are controlled. Harvest the Gouds before frost by cutting them from the vine. Store in cool, dry place to maintain their quality for weeks. You can harvest their seeds immediately, or let them dry until the seeds inside rattle
