Cyrotstachys renda is native to Malaysia, Borneo, and Sumatra where it grows in coastal peat swamps, sometimes reaching heights of over 30 feet. A slow growing species, it requires warm tropical temperatures and an abundance of moisture.
This tropical species requires high temperatures and high humidity and may not survive temps below 40°F. Plant in light shade and provide plenty of water if you are in a tropical area. In cooler climates grow in greenhouse or conservatory.
GROWING : Requires constant warmth and bright light with high humidity. Ideal temperature is 80F. Plant at a depth of 3/4" in well draining soil mixture and keep damp.
